Beachbody On Demand: BODgroups

When I first started at Beachbody On Demand, they were beginning to re-brand and expand their concept of Groups, formerly known as Challenge Groups. The approach was one concept to harmonize a very fragmented user experience — BODgroups helps you reach your goals with world-class workouts, proven nutrition guidance and a support system all in one place.

From owning the logo creation, to helping plan and execute a branded photo shoot that would touch marketing web pages, web banners, swag, and in-app UI, this was a colossal project that truly required the unifying of product, commerce, and marketing.

Logo Progression

The branding challenge was to maintain the familiarity and branding from ‘BOD’ and juxtapose it with a friendly, approachable, conversational ‘groups’ label that could be scaled from a mobile web banner to a large print campaign.

A sample of iterations early on in the process:

This project led to a +250% increase in total active groups and +160% increase in unique users on the BODgroups platform from December 2019—2021.

Through user feedback, we also saw a significant increase in Satisfaction, Net Promoter Score, and Likelihood to Continue Using the platform.

Marketing Sell Pages

An additional marketing sell page targets Beachbody Coaches, who build their business through Groups.

This landing page is only viewable by a logged in Coach and serves an educational purpose by outlining the simple steps it takes for a Coach to set up and run a successful Group.

Sizzle Reels

The in-house production team created these sizzle reels to promote and demonstrate the new feature to users.
